Hollywood Treasure is a weekly reality series that delves into the intricate world of showbiz and pop culture memorabilia collecting, including science fiction and fantasy props and costumes. The series follows Joe Maddalena, owner of Profiles in History and the world’s largest auctioneer of original movie, television and pop culture collectibles. Each episode follows Joe and his crew as they travel the globe searching for the most compelling, rare, and sought-after Hollywood memorabilia. Sometimes combing through basements and attics to uncover lost Hollywood treasure, and other times meeting with celebrities to view their personal keepsakes, Joe tracks leads and does whatever it takes to seal the deal for a piece of Hollywood history. From the Wicked Witch of the West hat to the vintage Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car to the original Mary Poppins carpet bag, Maddalena will stop at nothing to hunt down some of Hollywood’s most legendary and mythical items. Today eBay post is from the 2002 film Adaptation that stared Nicolas Cage and Meryl Streep. It is a book cover of the Orchid Thief. It is modeled from the original book cover with the author’s picture changed to Meryl Streep. This eBay listing is the first of many of my own items that I will be putting up on eBay. Legend of the Seeker – Nicci’s (Emily Foxler) Dark Season Finale costume
It’s no surprise to a lot of people who know me; I am a big fan of Legend of the Seeker, both the TV show and books. I own 2 costumes myself sold by the costume designer Shed11. They have some of the best designed costumes I have seen. The detail work they even put into background characters is amazing. The Nicci costume here is no exception. Out of the entire wardrobe in the series I have to say this has to be one of my favorite ones. Whoever bids and wins this one will really have a treasure from this show that ended all too soon. In 2 days the bidding has made it to $910.00 so expect this to go high. NICCI Episode 222 played by EMILY FOXLER Hero Black Costume Nicci in Ep 222 has become a force to be reckoned with having amassed extreme powers. One of the Costume Designer’s favourite pieces from the show, this unique costume features a metal breastplate which is balanced against luxurious liquid silk, silk velvet and leather. The materials and finishing of this dark costume were carefully selected for movement, drape and to catch the light creating a strong and dramatic look This auction is for the complete Hero Nicci Costume worn by Emily Foxler 1. DRESS: Liquid silk satin bias cut dress is sleeveless and has a high split over the right leg a draped collar which forms a draped spilt sleeve. 2. I know, I been a bit slack on my post but life gets busy at times. But today I have run into a cool little item from Minority Report. It is an eye scanner purchased from profiles in history. The eye scanner were used to find Tom Cruise character, but after his eye transplant they could not find him. This item comes with the original Fox COA. Our friends over at The Propstop had a chance to sit down with Shed11 costume house. I love the awesome items that Shed11 has put up for sale from “Legend of the Seeker” TV show. I even had the chance to pick up a couple of costumes myself. Here is a sample of the interview, but please go over and read the full interview over at The Propstop. Were you surprised that the costumes have sold for so much? We had no way of knowing what the interest would be so we have been pleasantly surprised. Having said that, the costumes were tailor made from quality materials. They have extensive hand finishing and custom made details and were very labor intensive to produce so they beautiful collector’s pieces. How much longer do you plan to sell items for, and any cool things we can look forward to over the next month? Our resource is finite, so it will end! But we’ll carry on as long as we have stock and as long as there is interest. Perhaps there will be the opportunity to do the same with another show in the future. Costumes to look out for: Cara Princess costume, Richard as the Prince of Thrace and Zedd the Governess. Oh, and the black Nicci Costume from ep 222. Follow us on Twitter for updates.
Sorority Row – Chug’s (Margo Harshman) HERO Pajamas
Up For auction is Chug’s (Margo Harshman) HERO complete screen worn Pajama set. This costume was worn in the PJ party scenes at the beginning of the film and during the pivotal scenes of the accidental killing of Megan, that sets the whole story into motion. The wardrobe set includes a cut-off Chi Delta Gamma shirt, hoodie, athletic shorts, and UGG style boots. The original wardrobe tag that states all the costume info including: “PJ Party Clean Hero” is also included, along with a COA from Premiere Props that states this as the Hero costume. Blade 2 – Screen Used Contacts
Today’s prop listing comes from the Steve Johnson FX auction listings. These contacts were made for and screen used by Thomas Kretschmann ( Damaskinos) in the film. The contacts come directly from the effects studios liquidation sales. They seem to be listing about 30 to 60 a week. I have picked up some nice concept art from them myself. For today’s budget prop is body armor used in one of the best TV shows ever in my opinion that is. This is a screen used sleeveless armored vest used in 24. The vest has stage blood on left side, front and back. It includes two straps on bottom and two over each shoulder. Its current price is very reasonable price of $25.49.
